The Description
The original performance full of baroque music and traditional puppet theater is based on one of the oldest and most popular folk texts with a Christmas theme - the Christmas Game of Rakovník. According to its authors, the aim of the theater project is to connect the spiritual essence of Christmas with folk humor and unique wooden puppets, which together with captivating baroque music are the main characters of fantastic and entertaining productions.
It will combine musical improvisations and Christmas pastorals from the Kroměříž Archive with dialogues of simple shepherds, bloated kings and hovering angels, and there will also be ubiquitous sheep, dogs and wolves…
